El Nacimiento del Yuan (RMB) como Unidad de Reserva Mundial: Evolución y Perspectivas

Esta investigación tiene como finalidad analizar el surgimiento, la evolución y las perspectivas del yuan chino también conocido como (Renminbi, RMB) como unidad de reserva mundial. Se estudian las estrategias de internacionalización impulsadas por China, se plantean algunos de los obstáculos estructurales que enfrenta el RMB y los escenarios prospectivos que podrían verse materializados en el futuro cercano. A pesar de contar con logros como la inclusión en los Derechos Especiales de Giro (DEG) del FMI o su creciente participación en reservas internacionales, el yuan todavía enfrenta importantes limitaciones que obstaculizan su consolidación como una de las monedas de reserva dominante. Se plantean tres escenarios prospectivos y se concluye que la consolidación gradual es el camino más probable en el corto y mediano plazo.
