Lista preliminar de plantas con sistemas fotosintéticos C3 y C4 en una sabana de morro
Keywords:
herbaceous species, photosynthetic systemsAbstract
The presence of C3 and C4 photosynthetic systems in five herbaceous species in a savanna of morro were studied. Cyperus tenuis, C. rotundus, Panicum colonum and P. hirticaulum had a C4 system; only Commelina sp. is a C3 species. A greater proportion of C4 over C3 plants suggests the possibility of an adaptative response to adverse environmental conditions.
