Notas ecológicas sobre las poblaciones de Rothschildia aroma schaus (lepidoptera: Saturniidae) y sus enemigos naturales
Keywords:
Rothschildia aroma schaus, InsecticidasAbstract
The life cycle of Rothschildia aroma and the effect of its natural enemies as control vectors of the population of this butterfly were investigated. Some variations were found in the percentages of parasitism reported by Quezada (1967). The variations founded are most evident in San Miguel and its surroundings ( one of the salvadorian cotton arcas) and for that reason a hypothesis was formulated concerning the possible action of insecticides sprayed in such places as. causes of the alterations in the biological levels of R. aroma, and its parasites. This hypothesis was tested using the X2 test of correlation.
