Abstract

In this article, the motion of plane electromagnetic pulses in two inertial frames having a uniform relative motion in a vacuum is discussed. It will be shown that if one has a plane electromagnetic pulse in one of the frames, then one will also have a plane pulse in the other frame. The analysis given here may be useful in teaching the theory of special relativity
