Abstract

This work is basically a taxonomic guide to the butterflies of the family PAPILIONIDAE in El Salvador, centered on a taxonomic key, and supplemented by some general biological notes, illustrations of all the described species, plus a brief summary of what has been done with this group in this country so far. At the same time it represents the beginning of an effort to describe in this same manner, in the inmediate future, all the butterflies (Papilionoidea) of El Salvador
