Abstract

This article focuses on the calculation of the Gini Coefficient for El Salvador from the processing of the Multipurpose Household Survey (EHPM) databases. The results obtained are compared with the official figures contained in the publications of the different editions of the EHPM, the figures published by the World Bank (WB) and those obtained by other researchers, deriving some important considerations related to this indicator.
