Abstract

Making an analysis from the power relations that determine the course of a society is an ever-present task, it implies a critical analysis that allows to see the forces on the decision-making bases and the orientation of public policies at a certain moment in the history of the countries It is to see the behavior of the relations of force due to the power that they accumulate and the relations that are articulated, it is to consider the political power and the incidence in the State and the permanent fight to gain it, as a nucleating, protective and forging element of power. In the current political situation of El Salvador, there is a clear confrontation to establish a new hegemony, but that will require the creation or articulation of an alternative historical bloc, the underlying debate is not about liberal democracy or the democratic model in El Salvador, it is about power and the forces that hold it and are interrelated, and that will be expressed in the transformation or not in the living conditions of Salvadoran society, whether to move towards a modernized State to ensure citizen well-being
