About the Journal

SCOPE

The "Revista Humanidades VI Época" is a space for the socialization of humanistic knowledge, social sciences, and artistic expressions that support the Open Science paradigm, with the aim of disseminating knowledge from the various fields that constitute the humanities, cultural and scientific studies in a holistic manner due to its multidisciplinary nature. It publishes works by national and international authors and accepts writings in Spanish, intending to offer the academic community scientific production, theoretical and methodological tools to contribute to the decoding, understanding, and transformation of the national and Hispano-American reality.

Based on the above, the journal offers various themes, products of institutional and personal research, works prepared as a team or group from the different Departments, Schools, or Faculties of the University of El Salvador and other universities around the world. This knowledge is constructed in discourses whose structures correspond to scientific articles, review articles, essays, or reviews. Through production and reception, the aim is to recognize the research work of teachers and members of the national and international university community.

In this sense, the journal aims to be a reference source for students, teachers, researchers, and the public interested in the different fields of study; as well as a medium for the publication of new knowledge, as a result of their studies and research, from this institutional standpoint that fosters informed intellectual dialogue between academia and society. These precepts correspond with the philosophy of the publication lines, the scientific quality of the published works, and the academic alliances established through the production, circulation, and reception of the scientific and literary work of the "Revista Humanidades VI Época."

OBJECTIVES

  • Publish articles, essays, and reviews of evident academic, scientific, and aesthetic quality, to disseminate research production, humanistic thought, and artistic creativity on topics related to our fields of study, concerning the Salvadoran, Central American, and Hispano-American socio-cultural reality.
  • Establish a network of humanist intellectuals, social scientists, and diverse national and international artistic expressions, who promote their research and aesthetic production work in the publications made by the Revista Humanidades VI Época.
  • Achieve reciprocal collaboration between the Faculty of Sciences and Humanities of the University of El Salvador and the national and international academic and artistic community, in order to democratize the knowledge and cultural expressions published in our journal.

FREQUENCY

The frequency of the "Revista Humanidades VI Época" is semiannual; that is, it is divided into 2 issues: March – August and September – February, each consisting of at least 5 articles.

AUDIENCE

Researchers, students, professors, professionals, artists, and the general public interested in any of the sciences, fields of humanities, and cultural studies.

ANTI-PLAGIARISM POLICY

Manuscripts proposed for publication in the Humanidades Journal will be reviewed by a text similarity detection program. Manuscripts with a similarity percentage greater than 20% will not be accepted.
