DEBACLE OF THE TRADITIONAL POLITICAL SYSTEM AND ALTERNATIVE TO THE DOMINANT PARADIGM
THE CASE OF EL SALVADOR

The dominant paradigm of the current Western political systems is undergoing transformations, these political systems vary according to the States. In Western countries generally (these systems) are composed of economic, political, social, religious groups, etc. Each of these groups plays an important social role in the State; political parties, who historically in some democratic political systems have been the only access to political power. These actors have manipulated the system to obtain benefits and maintain them over time, affecting citizens. In the Latin American context, El Salvador emerges with a new model that modifies the dominant paradigm, disassociating itself from the vicious circle of partisan corruption to favor personal interests; to focus on the well-being of the population. El Salvador, step by step, is becoming the role model for the Latin American States
