Diagnóstico del cumplimiento de la norma ISO 45001:2018 en la Facultad Multidisciplinaria de Occidente, de la Universidad de El Salvador

Abstract

Objective: to determine the compliance percentage of the requirements established by the management and continuous improvement of occupational health and safety within organizations standard for the ISO 45001: 2018, at the Western Multidisciplinary Campus of the University of El Salvador. Method: a non-experimental design was considered, without manipulation of variables and passive data collection, without intervention of the researcher. The scope was established as exploratory, in which the level of compliance with the requirements on the ISO 45001: 2018 standard in the Western Multidisciplinary Campus of the University of El Salvador. The information gathering was made by using a crossisectional and retrospective collection design, since it was only done at a specific moment in time and the events and documented information are from previous months or years. Results: the results showed that the institution is below the desired standards, in terms of the level of compliance with the points established in the ISO 45001: 2018 standard. Of the seven points analyzed, the level of compliance ranged between 8%, this being the context of the organization, and 42%, this being planning. Conclusion: taking into account the total results of the evaluated points of the standard, it has been determined that the institution is in a very poor level of compliance with respect to the international standard
