Comparison of protein, fat, calcium and phosphorus content of crickets (Acheta domesticus), in its juvenile stage, fed with different substrates
Keywords:
domestic cricket, acheta domesticus, bromatological analysisAbstract
The research was carried out in the National Zoological Park of El Salvador for eleven weeks (June-September 2020), in which the protein, fat, calcium and phosphorus content of crickets (Acheta domesticus) in juvenile stage was determined through the change in the food offered thanks to a bromatological study carried out in the Department of Agricultural Chemistry of the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences of the University of El Salvador. It was concluded that the use of higher protein levels in the A. domesticus diet does not generate better utilization values, however, the opposite occurs when higher levels of fat, calcium or phosphorus are present.
