Abstract

The writing of scientific texts is an activity of central importance in universities. This centrality exists due to the demand for scientific knowledge in society. However, the reflection on some topics related to scientific production is often concluded by considering that manuals or protocols already contemplate everything that a university student or professor should know about the writing and research process. This reliance on manuals or protocols gives way to ignoring that progress in the different fields of study offers researchers new terminologies and that the delimitation or extension of concepts is constant. For this reason, the following paragraphs present some ideas related to scientific writing processes and a final mention of the texts that make up the current issue of the journal REMI, volume 3, number 2, in order to propose a contribution to this discussion.
