About the Journal
Focus and Scope
AQUACIENCIA is the journal of the School of Biology, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of El Salvador; it is also part of a permanent social outreach project, in association with the Secretariat of Scientific Research, to disseminate updated information on marine-coastal ecosystems, inland water bodies, biodiversity in general, ecology, and environmental education.
It publishes Scientific Articles, Review Articles, Scientific Notes, Case Studies, Narratives, Scientific Dissemination Notes, and short notes, with an educational focus that allows readers to understand processes occurring in different ecosystems, aiming to foster values of admiration and respect for nature and guiding behaviors toward a more empathetic relationship with natural resources.
The journal is available to researchers and students from UES and other national or foreign educational institutions, as well as organizations or institutions conducting research who wish to publish original and unpublished scientific works; it is free and openly accessible to readers.

For writing the editorial page, a researcher selected by the Editorial Committee will be invited.
