Abstract

Introduction: This article refers to technical education in El Salvador. In this sense, it describes how formal technical education was born and its situation in the context of educational reforms. Objective: The objective of this research is to describe the state of  technical education in the national educational system and to try to establish a link between the emblematic programs and the neoliberal modernization projects and finally, how they pause their development in financial exhaustion. Method: In order to carry out this research, a search of bibliographic sources has been made from which the most relevant data are collected according to the research objectives. Conclusion: Technical education in El Salvador is a system that is part of the educational system, which means that it has an institutional framework that has evolved from a very simple structure to a complexity of high school and university education units. It is also part of a network of international conventions that promote its development and progress.
