Double-Blind Peer Review Process
In order to ensure the scientific and academic quality of articles to be published in Revista Derecho and any other production of Aequus Editorial, a peer review process is established, involving expert evaluators in the field of Legal Sciences.
Any essay or article submitted for publication in the journal will undergo a selection phase to assess the relevance of the text. In other words, it will be examined whether the text is explicitly linked to one of the areas of Legal Sciences.
Furthermore, the essays will be evaluated to ensure they meet the academic requirements of scientific research: coherence, clarity, and cohesion of ideas. Additionally, the quality of the bibliographic sources consulted for its preparation will be analyzed.
The peer review process will be conducted through a double-blind review. This means that the authors are unaware of who the reviewers are, and the reviewers do not know the authorship or institutional affiliation of the authors.
The decision of the peer reviewer may fall into the following categories; in any case, the reviewer will provide reasons for the decision:
-
Approved: The text can be published after making minimal changes related to style or clarification of specific research points.
-
Approved with observations: The text can be published after making major content changes, for which the peer reviewer will specify which aspects of the text need improvement.
-
Rejected: The text cannot be published.
