Review of the curricular reforms of the Electrical Engineering career

Since its approval in 1965 and its ratification by the Higher University Council in 1966, the electrical engineering career curriculum has undergone very few changes. During the five decades of existence, very little thought has been given to the reasons that keep it in an inert state. Each of the reforms carried out has had as its main maxim not to disrupt anything. Over time, the curriculum acquired a certain stony quality that made it increasingly difficult to modify. That is why the curriculum approved in 1998 was nothing but an identical copy of its predecessor introduced in 1989.This anomalous situation motivated the revision of each one of the curricula that the electrical engineering career has had. In addition, the curriculum of the previous career, introduced during the second half of the 1950s, was included in the analysis. This chronological revision, it is hoped, would provide the necessary information to be able to carry out future reforms, leading to improving the quantity and the quality of graduates.
