Focus and Scope

The Salud Integral Journal of the University of El Salvador (UES) was first published on August 19, 2023 (Vol.1 No.1). Since that date, it has been available to the scientific community, academia, and students of the doctorate in Medicine and Health Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine. It is also intended for professionals from other disciplines at national and foreign institutions, promoting a policy of open and free access for readers.

The Journal accepts manuscripts from researchers who wish to publish original articles, reviews, technical notes, clinical cases, and scientific essays related to various fields of health sciences, public health, epidemiology, environmental health, social medicine, and medical, dental, and other health-related specialties.

Objective

To become a scientific communication tool for unpublished articles that contributes to evidence-based decision making, internationalizes knowledge, and promotes academic discussion among researchers.

Frequency
It is published semi-annually, with two issues published each year, corresponding to the periods January-June and July-December.

Indexing
There is a commitment to index the journal beyond the regional scope; this effort is part of the project to Strengthen Scientific Journals of the University of El Salvador.
