Must contain the following elements:
TITLE: should be short, concise, and clear, avoiding excessive prepositions and articles. A maximum of 15 words is recommended, excluding formulas, patented names, abbreviations, or acronyms.
AUTHOR | EMAIL | AFFILIATION | ORCID CODE: placed immediately below the research title, not in alphabetical order. Academic degrees and hierarchical positions are not included. The first author of the manuscript will be considered the main author.
ABSTRACT: should be between 150 to 250 words and include an English translation (Abstract). It should be concise and informative enough to allow readers to identify the content and relevance of the work and decide whether to read it. It should be written in past tense and reference the location and date of execution, as well as summarize the methodological procedure, objectives, and only hint at the main results and conclusions.
KEYWORDS: keywords typically include the studied taxa from most to least important. There should be 3 to 10 meaningful words separated by commas, used to label the article, in both English and the article's primary language.
INTRODUCTION: describes the conceptual or theoretical stage of the research, allowing the reader to understand the general problem so they can comprehend and evaluate the study's results. It should always provide a reasoned justification for the research and a precise, understandable formulation of the problem or question. It should be written to highlight the study's necessity and stimulate the reader's curiosity. It should not be lengthy and must define the study's objective in the last paragraph. It should be written in present tense since it refers to the study problem and existing knowledge on the topic at the start of the work.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: this is the planning and design stage of the study. Its purpose is to describe and explain how the research was conducted so another author can replicate the study and independently verify the results. It should be written in past tense since it describes what happened during the research. It must contain the following sections: Design, Population or sample, Setting (where the study was conducted and its duration), Interventions (techniques, treatments, measurements used to collect information), Analyzed variables, and Statistical analysis.
RESULTS: should be brief, clear, and written in past tense since they describe what was found in the research. This section includes tables, graphs, and figures. Tables should be interpretable without referring to the text, with simple design and appropriate writing. Graphs should clearly convey the message and display numerical values of statistics. Their function is to present the most important results in relation to the study's objectives. This section only describes the obtained data without interpretation.
DISCUSSION: this section reflects the analysis and meaning of the research results. It begins by answering the initial question from the introduction and compares the findings with other studies. At the end, conclusions may be formulated, which are essentially the answer to the question posed at the beginning of the research. It is written in present tense since the work's findings are now considered scientific evidence.
CONCLUSIONS: summarizes the findings from the results and discussion, the current state of the work, proposes future objectives, and suggests new approaches for the research line.
ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS: must ensure the content is original and free of plagiarism, with all sources properly cited. Data must be real and presented clearly and honestly. If using information from individuals, their consent must be obtained, and their privacy protected.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST: any potential conflicts of interest arising from the submitted manuscript must be disclosed.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS: (Optional) applicable to institutions or individuals who supported the research. Any publication funded by the University of El Salvador must include the statement: "This research was conducted with financial support from the University of El Salvador, Central America."
REFERENCES: only references directly cited in the manuscript should be listed under this heading, formatted according to the Vancouver Style. At least 60% of the references should be no older than 5 years.
