Code of Ethics
The Salud Integral Journal complies with the criteria of the Committee on Publication Ethics, COPE, to which it adheres, and is guided by the academic purposes of the University of El Salvador established in Article 3 of its Organic Law, which states:
- To preserve, promote, and disseminate science, art, and culture.
- To train professionals who are morally and intellectually capable of fulfilling their role in society, integrating for this purpose the functions of teaching, research, and social outreach.
- To conduct philosophical, scientific, artistic, and technological research of a universal nature, primarily on Salvadoran and Central American reality.
- To strive, with a social-humanistic sense, for the comprehensive education of the student.
- To contribute to the strengthening of national identity and the development of an authentic culture, at the service of peace and freedom.
- To promote sustainability and the protection of natural resources and the environment.
- To foster among its students the ideal of unity among the Central American peoples.
The Code of Ethics of the University of El Salvador, in its Article 5, establishes the ethical values that must govern the conduct of those who are part of the university community, which are:

Plagiarism Policy
Manuscripts submitted for publication in Revista Salud Integral will undergo review through a text similarity detection program. Manuscripts with a similarity rate exceeding 15% will not be accepted.
