Review process

The Salud Integral Journal will acknowledge receipt of manuscripts submitted by authors through its platform at the following link: https://revistas.ues.edu.sv/index.php/si/about/submissions. To do so, you must register as a user: https://revistas.ues.edu.sv/index.php/si/user/register

The editorial committee may Reject a manuscript without entering the peer-review phase if it is deemed not to meet the basic publication standards; this will be notified immediately to the author.

The peer review is conducted using the Peer Review method. This is the peer-review process upon which academic journals base their decision to accept or reject articles received as candidates for publication. This process allows articles to receive an objective evaluation by external reviewers, thereby guaranteeing their quality.

For this journal, the peer review is double-blind, which ensures the confidentiality of the process by preserving the anonymity of both reviewers and authors. Each article will be evaluated by one or two reviewers, who are experts in the research field, to guarantee the relevance and quality of the publications.

The maximum time for reviewers to provide a response to their review will be 30 days. During this period, reviewers can propose corrections and observations on the text for the authors to address. Reviewers can approve the publication without changes or with minimal changes, approve with observations, or reject the text, declaring it unpublishable.
