Confiabilidad y responsabilidad ética en los pódcast: un enfoque desde las ciencias de la comunicación

Resumen

El auge del pódcast como medio de comunicación ha generado desafíos éticos significativos, especialmente en torno a la confiabilidad de la información. Este ensayo propone una reflexión crítica, desde las ciencias de la comunicación, sobre la relación entre ética y responsabilidad en la producción y difusión de contenidos mediante este formato. El análisis se centra en principios como la veracidad, la transparencia, la autorregulación y la rendición de cuentas, considerando su relevancia para la construcción de confianza entre emisores y audiencias. Asimismo, se examinan las implicaciones éticas de la ausencia de estructuras regulativas formales, la manipulación emocional, la ambigüedad entre hechos y opiniones, la selección y organización narrativa de los contenidos y la responsabilidad del comunicador frente a los efectos de sus mensajes. Desde esta perspectiva, se sostiene que la confiabilidad de los podcasts no puede depender exclusivamente de marcos normativos externos, sino que requiere un compromiso interno del emisor con una ética comunicacional propositiva, orientada a la verificación, la transparencia y el respeto por la audiencia. Se plantea, finalmente, la necesidad de mejorar la formación ética de los productores y promover pautas deontológicas adaptadas al entorno digital, con el propósito de consolidar el pódcast como un espacio informativo riguroso, democrático y socialmente responsable.
