Abstract
Frescas estaban aún las heridas inferidas a la Roma Imperial por las huestes bárbaras de Alarico: humeantes las minas, después de seis días de espantoso saqueo, testimoniaban a las gentes la vanidad del poder del César y los desaciertos de la división del Imperio por Teodosio.
