Ya hemos oído hablar a personas ilustradas con un tono de profundo desdén, del estudio de las bellas letras. Para estas buenas gentes la literatura significa algo tan secundario al lado de las ciencias de aplicación, que viene a ser materia de recreo, puro adorno de las personas educadas, cosa de un orden puramente inútil.
