Abstract

The University of El Salvador was founded on February 16, 1841, the date coinciding with the declaration of the Salvadoran State. Since its founding, the university has withstood the country's historical storms, always remaining the first and only public university committed to science and culture. Furthermore, its goals address the urgent need to transform Salvadoran society through teaching, research, and social outreach. By uniting these three pillars, the University of El Salvador promotes its scientific work and production, seeking to provide the people with men and women with a spirit of renewal and a humanistic approach to knowledge.
