Deterioration of the shielding and insulation of a 46/23kV distribution substation in El Salvador
Keywords:
corrosion, electric energy, shielding, substationAbstract
The development of this work describes the need to issue a reliable diagnosis on the levels of deterioration of the protection and insulation elements of an electrical distribution substation, due to the climatic conditions, earthquakes and type of terrain that affect the substations in the course of of its useful life. It is proposed to send letters to AES Del Sur, ETESAL and CEL to request information on the design and standards used in their substations with a long operating time, as well as any study or information on shielding upgrades, commissioning improvements. ground or insulation. With the information provided, the corresponding study will be carried out. In addition, the effects of climate, earthquakes and the type of terrain on Electrical Installations are described, which leads to corrosion, superficial damage and deterioration in the grounding system, increasing insecurity and voltage values.
