Abstract
The University of El Salvador was founded on February 16, 1841, a date that coincides with the declaration of the Salvadoran state. Since its establishment, this institution has withstood the country's historical upheavals, remaining the first and only public university, committed to science and culture. Furthermore, its mission addresses the urgent need to transform Salvadoran society through teaching, research, and community outreach. By uniting these three pillars, the University of El Salvador drives its scientific work and output, striving to provide the people with men and women who can renew their understanding of reality and embrace a humanistic approach to knowledge.
