Abstract
In recent years, the University of El Salvador has been implementing various strategies to mainstream a gender perspective in higher education. The comprehensive training of professionals in diverse fields of knowledge not only provides agents of change for society but also fosters individuals who contribute to a culture of peace in their respective spheres. Upon graduation, these individuals develop critical thinking skills and, through their diverse forms of civic engagement, recognize the structures of inequality present in our societies.
