Foundations of Diplomatic Law and Consular Law:
A Gender-Based Perspective
Keywords:
diplomacy, gender, gender equality, international relations, role of womenAbstract
This article analyzes the fourth chapter of the book Fundamentals of Diplomatic and Consular Law: Basic Notions for Understanding the Foreign Service, by Professor Danny Obed Portillo Aguilar, as a starting point to examine sex-gender epistemic justice and its relationship with diplomatic and consular law. From a feminist and intersectional perspective, the study seeks to generate analytical inputs that contribute to reflection and to the visibility of the fundamental role of women in this field of political science and international relations. Likewise, the chapter is approached as an academic text that fosters education, critical inquiry and research on gender dynamics within the contemporary diplomatic sphere.
