The concept of literary reading in current pedagogy of literature

The purposes of thís paper are, on the one hand, stress the importance of re- thinking the concept literary reading in theframework of the teaching of literature. In addition, make an initial assessment of the conceptualizations ofthis category and challenges in this very important area are presented to the Edu- catión of Literature. The main reference point for the analysis is the model of teaching literature that is assumed in the plans and curricula of the Salvadoran secondary education. The document is organized into four sections: the first problematic situation arises.
