This volume analyzes legal institutions of recent origin, particularly in the field of economic criminal law. Among them, it addresses compliance, which some authors interpret as a mechanism to combat corruption; others see it as a tool to prevent, detect, and eradicate money laundering and asset laundering; and still others view it as a means to prevent or sanction terrorism financing. The volume also includes an analysis of quantum information and the challenges it poses to law, as well as a socio-political and legal analysis of governmental actions such as the reorganization of informal trade, and citizen participation as a mechanism for socio-political oversight. When viewed together, it is concluded that all the issues studied are interconnected.
